Release 10.4 of the T3 Platform includes expanded PBX integration for VoIP, enhanced unified messaging capabilities, and a newly designed fax interface.

TeleData Technology, Inc., a provider of integrated telephony solutions, announces its release of version 10.4 of the T3 Engine, including expanded PBX integration for VoIP, enhanced unified messaging capabilities, and a newly designed web-based fax interface.

Version 10.4 continues to expand upon TeleData's vision to provide a comprehensive telephony solution developed on the 'building blocks' approach. This unique platform-independent approach allows TeleData to offer highly customized telephony applications to its customers by activating or deactivating specific services, and providing tools for further customization that don't require in-depth telephony programming knowledge.

Integration
Release 10.4 fits effortlessly into a VoIP or traditional TDM PBX strategy with the addition of a SIP-enabled platform. The T3 Platform, combining feature-rich messaging functionality with automated attendant, speech recognition, multi-modal (unified) messaging, interactive voice response, fax and networking capabilities, is now offered to customers as a traditional TDM, SIP-enabled, or a hybrid TDM/SIP solution. By enabling TDM and SIP in the same platform, TeleData provides flexibility to customers who need to share messaging and application services across a mixed TDM and VoIP PBX environment.

Unified Messaging
The T3 Platform is unique in its ability to offer unified messaging functionality without the need to install client or server software. Users simply use their pre-existing email application to access voicemails, and their current voice mailbox to access emails, while messages are seamlessly synchronized. Release 10.4 continues down the path of expanding clientless unified messaging capabilities by adding 'system awareness of original message format.' When a user forwards or replies to another subscriber's voicemail through email, the system recognizes the message was originally a voicemail and delivers the message into both the recipient's email and voice mailbox.

Voicemail
Voicemail 'follow me' calls can now be screened, transferred and recorded when a call is forwarded to a remote phone number, in effect extending important PBX capabilities to the cell phone.

Fax
Release 10.4 replaces the client-side fax client with a fully web-based fax client. The web-based fax client allows for the addition of future fax capabilities without the need to reinstall the client.

In addition, users can now select their preferred delivery format for receiving faxes, including TIF, PDF or DCX formats. Users will also receive email confirmation for both delivered and undelivered faxes.

Roles
Administrators are able to easily control the access users have to their voicemail by customizing the Web interface to the system. This new roles-based mechanism enables organizations to manage the level of control users have to configure voicemail functionality.
