T3main Platform Using Microsoft's Exchange Web Services for More Effective Unified Messaging Capabilities
New York, NY - May 24, 2011

T3 Telecom Software is pleased to announce it has implemented Microsoft's Exchange Web Services (EWS) into its T3main unified communications platform. By using EWS the T3main unified communications platform can more easily communicate with Exchange in order to access users' messages, contacts, calendar, and presence information.

Integration of EWS into the T3main platform simplifies the unified messaging deployment process for customers. In addition to removing the need for an external msync server, administration is simplified, security increased and integration with Exchange is improved.

Simplified administration:
  • No need to enter username and password per user on the T3main; only requires entry of email address per user
  • No need to change passwords on the T3main when a user's Active Directory password is changed
  • No need to enable an IMAP server
Increased Security:
  • User passwords are not stored on the T3main voice mail system
  • Uses Exchange security protocols
Improved Exchange integration:
  • No limit on inbox size
  • Sent items synchronization (in addition to inbox)
  • Transcribed messages are appended to original voice mail message
